Soo Film Festival Announces 2017 Line-Up, Expands

The 2017 Soo Film Festival announces its line-up of narrative and documentary features and shorts, music videos, and animation. The festival places an emphasis on Great Lakes films and filmmakers, but entry was open worldwide. Festival programming will feature international submissions from more than 15 countries. Soo Film Festival is September 15-17 in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at the historic Soo Theatre and, for the first time, Bayliss Public Library, a Superior District Library. Featured selections will screen at the library September 12-14 as part of the festival.
Festival president Taylor Brugman: "We are very excited to expand to another downtown venue this year. This gives the festival an opportunity to show more films and reach more people."
A full list of the movies and a tentative schedule are available on the festival website, soofilmfestival.org. Other events and guests will be announced soon.
Tickets will be on sale Friday, September 1, online at soofilmfestival.org. Ticket prices are $7 General Admission (per block), $5 Seniors and Students (per block); $20 Daily Pass (admission to all blocks on a single day); $50 Festival Pass (admission to all films and shorts programs, all days).

We are pleased to announce our official selections for the 2017 Soo Film Festival.
With more than 400 films submitted in 6 categories, including more than
100 films with a connection to the Great Lakes, once again we had some very tough
choices to make.

the festival! Independent film lovers,
these are films you won’t want to miss! The screenings will
take place September 15-17, 2017 at the historic Soo Theatre in
downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. It's going to be a great

Below is the list of films for each category. We’ll be
putting info about the films on the web as fast as we possibly can. The
final schedule will be available on August 18. Tickets will go on sale
on Friday, September 1. At that time, tickets can be purchased
